Over nearly three decades, Shogun Dojo has actively participated in numerous tournaments. Currently, we proudly associate with WKU, an esteemed international martial arts organization headquartered in Germany.
WKU's code of conduct resonates with our values, and its disciplines closely mirror our own. This synergy is largely attributed to the leadership of Klaus Nonnenmacher, WKU Canada's President and a former teammate of our esteemed Hanshi. Additionally, until recently, Gunter Kugocheck, Hanshi's former instructor, served as the organization's head referee.
WKU Hosts events all across the globe an on a yearly basis we attend events as close as Vancouver.
Hanshi Marwan is currently the head referee of this prestigious organization and Sensei Tareq is the president of WKU Canada.
Shogun Dojo extends its support to local event organizers, recognizing them as vital ambassadors of the martial arts community, striving to nurture its growth. Below, you'll find a lineup of upcoming events that Shogun Dojo is eagerly anticipating attending!
Shogun Dojo hosts several seminars each year, featuring expert instructors specializing in various disciplines such as point fighting, continuous light contact, kickboxing, Muay Thai, self-defense, stunts, weapons, and more. Each instructor is a specialist in their field; for example, self-defense seminars are often led by Shihan Mihran from LA. These instructors are flown in to introduce new and exciting techniques that can be integrated into our training routines. Special guests could include renowned figures like Jackie Chan, Chuck Norris, and Sensei Ken. These seminars offer a unique opportunity for our students to learn from the best and incorporate cutting-edge methods into their practice. Let us know if you're interested in attending!
