Shihan Mihran brings decades of training and an exceptional depth of credentials—but what truly sets him apart is his unwavering focus on real-world self-defense and firsthand experience protecting himself.
Growing up, Shihan Mihran trained extensively in Kadgamala Karate, the same traditional system practiced at Shogun Dojo today as well as other martial arts. Alongside his formal training, he was forced to apply his skills in real situations, navigating the streets of Hamburg, Germany, where he refined practical, no-nonsense self-defense abilities that only experience can teach.
In the late 1990s, he relocated from Germany to Los Angeles to pursue his vision of building schools and advancing his martial-arts path. It was there that he founded Hye-Katch-Do Karate, a system shaped by both traditional discipline and modern self-defense realities.
Over the past 20 years, Shihan Mihran has owned and operated multiple martial arts schools. His most recent—and most exciting—venture is Hiro Martial Arts, a culmination of decades of knowledge, experience, and leadership in the martial arts community.
